Vale Montanha, Lda. and the University of the Algarve are pleased to announce that their joint project “Energy and Ambient characteristics of wood burning stoves for fireplaces” was approved by INOVALGARVE – Regional Programme for Innovative Actions.
Innovative Character of the Project

To study wood burning stoves for fireplaces, ensuring compliance with new ambient demands (European Standard EN 13229:2001 and the Quioto Protocol), as well as energy analysis of regional bio-mass used as an energy source. It is intended to construct a test bed, testing various models of wood burning stoves with different combustible products, to measure efficiency, security and gas emissions. |
This is the first step in what Vale Montanha hope to be a fruitful collaboration with the University of the Algarve to develop new ideas in the field of renewable energies.
